Morning.
Im seeing many struggle with Twitter right now. Fair to say its been a toxic, unkind, misinformed, negative shouty space for a good while now.
Finding the mental strength to fight it daily isnt easy. Or rewarding. Sometimes its just not even possible .
Some of you are especially hard hit. Im singling out Police, because everyone has always hated you & criticised you. But this feels intensified now.
And NHS workers. How we went from hero clapping to disbelieving & denying is soul destroying .
Spirits must feel crushed
Right now you can be pilloried on Twitter, just for doing a certain job, ironically some of the most demanding, challenging, selfless ones there are. But noone cares about human you. Just the uniform, the job role, the Tik Tok video your colleague did..
Thats how it feels.
Blue tick accounts with huge platforms stir the shit. Being all inflammatory, rebellious & 'free' to say what the hell they want .
The likes keep coming & the deluded sense of being right & current grows.

Never mind that with great freedoms come great responsibilities.
Twitter reminds me of Policing the High Street on a Saturday night.
Loads shouting. A few antagonists. A big crowd.
Experts at the scene to control it. Some listen & walk away. A handful ain't gonna listen whatever you say. They know best!
Two will just keep calling you a c**t!
Pretty much we can choose who we want to be on that High Street.
Walking away isn't weakness, its common sense and listening and understanding. Its caring about yourself & leaving the rabble behind to keep shouting.
Choose your fights.
Sometimes a wise man retreats.
Do what works for you.
For me its filling my TL with animals & compassion.
Mute /Block/Unfollow the blue ticks brigade. Its healthy!
Take frequent breaks
Block dickheads.
Focus on the real world.
Keep safe.
Keep kind.
Keep compassionate.
Find smiles.
Ask for help.
I rest my case.
