1. Leeds fans are sick to death of pundits rolling out the tired old trope of "Bielsa burnout". It's factually incorrect, our physical stats were higher at the end of previous seasons. It's especially annoying from people being paid huge £££, who do zero research.
2. It has nothing to do with gender. It's about WHAT is being said, not WHO is saying it. Karen is not the first of these pundits to wind us up, we've abused plenty of idiots over the years: Don Goodman, Keif Andrews, Jimmy Piggybanks, Alan Shearer, Jermaine Jenas etc etc etc etc
3. The media comment on Leeds all the time, with usually zero response from the club itself. This is what made us so proud yesterday: when we called out ignorant and disrespectful comments for what they are. It was not "inducing a pile on", it was self defense & frustration.
4. Why are these pundits so repugnant? Because if any of us "ordinary folk" put that little effort into our "normal" jobs, we would be fired. Yet they steal a living, not bothering to do basic research before broadcasting their uninformed opinion to millions of people.
5. Now the Guardian published an article basically implying that the club should not respond to Carney due to her receiving online abuse in the past. That incident &this are completely separate. You can't just besmirch a person or group in public and expect no response.
6. There is a simple solution to avoid these situations in the future: employ pundits who actually do research.
