Metal seed storage never really had the right feeling. Redundancy in seed storage is underappreciated. Every seed can get destroyed or lost. Metal seeds are cumbersome or costly and metal detectors make them hard to hide.
Ceramic would be nice, but plastic is easy.

Possibility of home invasion incentivizes storing away from home. I'd go with metal if you use a bank vault or hide inside buildings where metal detectors are of no use and fire is an issue.
Tried embossing label marker. Good mechanical is very expensive. Didn’t get my hand on one of those. Cheap ones are a bitch to use. Labels are very durable though. I’ve got some from the seventies still as new.
Laminator and card pouches are really an easy and fast way of making plenty of redundant seeds. This can be bought with cash in local store for 60€.
You can go with multiple different plans. Basically you shouldn’t have one place corrupted resulting in loss of funds. Use a passphrase. Sharding of seeds into two 12 word lists is simple. Brute forcing of 12 words is really no risk. Make and hide enough keys.
How durable are pouches? Obviously they do burn. Loss from fire should be accounted. If you have seed in 4 different places it’s highly unlikely they’ll all burn at the same time.
5 minutes in boiling water. No effect.
Overnight in freezer. No effect.
Tearing. You need tools to damage these.

Easy and cheap seeds make different combinations possible for most of us. Shamir's Secret is a very good option. 4/9 stored all over the world in different jurisdictions can resist even nation state level attackers in 6102 setting.
Look into offshore vaults. Don’t set whole seed in one unless you have a good passphrase. Very nice in multisig setting. Especially if it has biometric identity checks and requires you to open it.
Hole in the ground is basic, easy and cheap. If it was good for pirates why not bitcoiners? Choose a place which is not going to be built on in near future. National parks?
