2/ First, "Labour will attempt to amend the bill..including additional protections on labour and environmental standards and support for business preparedness"
3/ Altho in 2024 "there will not be an appetite for renegotiating the entire treaty.. Labour would make (a case) over the coming months and years about ways to improve the UK’s relationship with the EU". So step by step, normalising closer ties
4/ "Starmer plans to make 2021 a more proactive year for Labour’s policy offering.. (the) primary focus would be jobs .. "I don’t just mean pay, I mean dignity in jobs – and how we support the economy across the different regions and nations.” All good & necessary stuff
5/ And critically and first of all, Labour will tackle the fallout from the pandemic and its effect on the NHS
6/ So yes, disappointing when we wanted so much more. But if I'm honest (and I usually am) this is prob the safest way for now. Take care of Tory Sickness first &move forward in small, positive steps until being close to the EU seems the most normal, natural thing in the world :)
