People with HIV who are virally suppressed on treatment can:
Have babies born without HIV
Have sex, without condoms, without risk of passing the virus on ( #UequalsU)
Live as long a life as someone without HIV.
Facts not fear. Science not stigma.
Tell everyone.
The goal of HIV treatment is to reduce the levels of HIV in the body.
When it reaches ‘Undetectable’ levels, there is not enough virus present for sexual transmission - there is ZERO risk!
We call this Undetectable means Untransmittable or #UequalsU.

In the UK 95% of all those diagnosed with #HIV are undetectable and can’t pass the virus on.
I’m passionate about sharing the #UequalsU message because it demands global treatment access to end the HIV epidemic.
#LeaveNoOneBehind
Someone with #HIV should have a similar life expectancy to someone without HIV, so long as we are diagnosed in good time, and have good access to HIV treatment.

HIV treatment means we should be able to live long and full lives but globally 12.6 million people with HIV still do not have access to these medicines that not only save lives but prevent transmission.
