ANOTHER COMPLAINT WHILE IM FEELING FIGHTY: people cant write "good" people either. either they get hung up on the idea that a good person cant fuck up (ive met a lot of good people that fucked up bad) or they think good people are boring. they equate goodness with

order and order with stasis. a good person in a story isnt someone who always does the right thing, but tries to do what they grasp as the right thing. and that "right" is fluid and changes based on many things, such as environment, background, story, circumstance, etc.

and also viewpoint. and im not talking about the Right as in lawful because the law isnt always right, but that sort of nebulous, fluid right. and that can create tons of interesting tension, because it can come down to beliefs
