A great warrior in the Epic battle Mahabharata was -Ghatotkacha.

He was the first son born to any of the pandavs.
Son of Bheem & Hidimba. His mother was from the Rakshas kul that made him half-Rakshas & gave him many magical powers that made him an important warrior in the war.
The name came from his head which was shaped like a pot
in Sanskrit, Ghatam means pot &
Utkach means head
During the battle,Ghatotkacha was called by Bheem to fight for the Pandavs in the Kurukshetra battle Invoking his magical powers,he wrought great havoc in the Kaurav army.
After the death of Jayadrath,
when the battle continued on past sunset his powers were at their most effective at night

At this point in the battle the Kaurav leader Duryodhan appealed to his best fighter, Karn to kill Ghatotkacha as the whole Kaurav army was getting destroyed
due to his ceaseless strikes from the air.
Karn possessed a divine weapon granted by god Indra.
It could be used only once and Karna had been saving it to use on his arch-enemy, Arjun.
Karn was loyal & thus he was unable to refuse the request of Duryodhan.
He hurled the weapon
at Ghatotkach.
After getting hit by the weapon he was falling down..Shri krishna then asked him to fall towards the side of the kaurav army so that his huge body causes more damage to them.
This is considered to be the turning point of the war.
Shri krishna considered the war to have been won for the Pandavs now that Karn no longer had a divine weapon to use in fighting Arjun.

Every person in the Mahabharat had a role to play.
A very important role.
If it wasn't Shri Krishna...who else?
Who else could do that ? 😊
