After some thought, I really liked the Beam Saber Arc. It really shows how Gintoki is willing to go for the people he loves even painting himself as a villain to shield Otae and Shinpachi from the truth.
Gintoki also bows down to the Shinsengumi to protect Shinpachi and him being the proud person he is, it’s just amazing to see Gintoki do that.
I can understand why people didn’t like this arc as much especially since before this is the Courtesan of a Nation Arc, but personally to me this arc is also amazing and emotionally impactful.
