A person from the paanar community was walking by the paddy fields and noticed the baby lying alone there. He was dawn to the beauty and divinity he noticed in the baby.He considerd the baby as a blessing from god and decided to raise as his own child PAANAN .
He was expert in music he was always deepin thoughts of the lord glories.PAANAN grew to be called THIRUPANAZHWAR.
THIRUPANAZHWAR loved lord ranganatha and evert mrng composed songs in his praise from the banks of the river kaveri.Being a low caste ,PAANAN was not allowed inside the temple. So deep was paanans concentration as he sang while playing the veena that he didn't realise lokasaranga
muni a temple priest was talking to him asking him to move ...PAANA move away I need to take thirumanjana water for ranganatha .Engrossed in devotion paana didnt hear..so the muni threw a stone at him.PAANAN was now realising his mistake immediately gave way to the priest.
He was worried that he had delayed the lords bath.

Lokasaranga muni fetched water and went to the temple. He was shocked wat he saw..lord ranganatha thirumeni was bleeding ...muni was terrifying and deeply sad ...he wondered wat horrible sin did I commit???is there blood flowing
from the lords face ..all of srirangam was talking only abt this.Muni was miserable out of worry...that night lord ranganatha appeared in his dreams and said ...u did a horrible thing by stoning my devotee and driving him away..carry him on ur shoulders and bring him here
tomorrow...lokasaranga had a doubt wat if PAANAN didn't want to come ..lord replied tell him its my command he will come.

Next mrng muni found THIRUPANAZHWAR in his usual place by kaveri devotedkt focused on singing the lords praises while playing his veena.
Muni went begged him pls open ur eyes I made a horrible mistake sterday pls allow me to carry u on my shoulders to the temple today..PAANAN was shocked are u not aware that I belong to a low caste how can I allow a respected high caste man such as urself to me...
it will be great apacharam(sin).Muni explained to PAANAN lord ranganathas desire and command .Hearing this PAANAN immediately agreed. From river kaveri till the temple muni carried Azhwar on this shoulders ,he sang the divine glories of the lord.
THIRUPANAZHWAR has rendered a prabhandham called amalanadhipiran which comprises of 10 pasurams .
