When I was little after the family went to bed I used to hear the silverware drawer and other cabinets and doors opening and rustling around. All while my family slept. It took me years and finally talking with my parents about it too realize we lived in poor neighborhood, and
those sounds were other people breaking into our rental apartment and desperately trying to find a means to help themselves monetarily. They were crimes. But they came from a place of desperation. And to this day I don't blame a single one of those people trying so hard even
breaking laws just to feed their families. As an adult now, I get it. I totally understand where they were coming from. And it wasn't their fault. We must raise up those amongst us with the least. We must rise the tide so all boats float safely. We cannot leave those in despair
and simply hope they won't do anything wrong just to survive. When you push people to their limits and survival is at stake, no law will stop an empty stomach or a desperate parent.
