monogamy is starting to feel weird to me. unsettling, even

if all goes well, you eventually form a strong bond with someone else, and you love and trust each other

this kind of bond is assuredly one of the highest and most beautiful things

...and then you deliberately refuse the possibility of developing another such bond with someone else? what?

i suppose love with a single person is already difficult enough to accomplish, but nonetheless, it’s unsettling

because even if you set aside the issue of sex, there’s this idea of ‘emotional cheating’, which is just... what?

not trying to dunk on anyone here, but take a minute to think about the implications of this idea

i.e. loving more than one person is cheating
