So Rep. Gohmert's lawsuit involving VP Pence will draw attention to the fact that VP Pence could ignore contested electors in battleground states to help elect Trump.

There is good precedent too: Thomas Jefferson in 1800.

Will VP Pence actually do it? I doubt it.
If VP Pence was about to "pull a Jefferson" on January 6th & refuse to count contested electors in order to elect Trump for a second term then why would Rep. Gohmert feel the need to litigate the issue now?

He wouldn't.

Gohmert is trying to pressure the VP to consider the move.
Here's the political math you should understand:

The GOP wants Trump gone.

The Koch brothers want Trump gone.

Pence was added to the Trump ticket to represent the interests of the GOP establishment & big donors & curb Trump's populism.
