I have to say, this battle over $2,000 relief checks has me increasingly convinced that we really ought to hold a floor vote on Medicare-for-all in the House.

Now is not the only time the left will have leverage, and it's by no means the only ask, but it is an essential one IMO.
Medicare-for-all is the only universal health care plan on the table right now.

Even if it has no chance in the Senate and holding a vote, under those circumstances, would allow non-supporters to be seen backing it, it would be a hell of a messaging bill if it passed the House.
This fight over $2000 has left neoliberal Dems and Republicans who oppose the measure politically isolated. It's a good trend and a Medicare-for-all vote could continue it.
