Who are MacDonald-Laurier Institute? . @MLInstitute claim to be an independent & non-partisan think tank based out of Ottawa Canada. They exist to: "make poor public policy unacceptable in the nations capital".This sadly doesnt extend to their coverage on China & Russia
2. From the get go, we see Sinophobic imagery from their December 2019 issue of Inside Policy. This issue pushes the xenophobic narrative of "evil China" having significant influence over Canadian policy. It's pure unadulterated Yellow peril.
3. If you're truly independent & non-partisan, why is such a narrative being pushed? In Their 2019 annual report some very interesting names appear.
Oil/pipeline lobby groups
Imperial Oil
Epoch Times - Falun Gong cult
Pfizer
Taiwan Foundation for Democracy
Latvian military
4. Many of these listed donate to Victims of Commnuism, an organization that regularly white-washes the crimes committed by Nazis and have gone as far as honouring them. While VoC's finances are made readily available, their list of donors is not.
5. In addition to funding from numerous outlets, there are some high profile individuals affiliated with the Think Tank. Marcus Kolga regularly conjures up continual hit-pieces full of Russophobia. Nathan Law leader of Right-winged Hong Kong Riots & separatist party Demosistō
6. Rounding out the list we have former Miss Canada Anastaia Lin who has taken up a role as Ambassador for China Policy. As noted she is an active practitioner in the Falun Gong cult who regularly posts anti-communist content.

7. The Institue published an open letter article in which it accuses China of causing the global pandemic, and covering up its roots. For a comprehensive and accurate occurence of events please watch the videos below.
8. As of now @MLInstitute has not written any articles mentioning the early discovery of Covid in Italy, Spain or other potential locations, nor have they retracted their previous statements about China being responsible. Instead, they double down with right-winged rhetoric.
9. Provides a Japanese perspective outlining the relationship between Japan, Taiwan and ML Institute on how to contain China and why "wolf warrior diplomacy" is problematic. https://twitter.com/KOTETSU__www/status/1343330457765748736?s=19
10. For an institution that aims at combating information warfare, the exact opposite is being done. Using racist tropes and fanning the flames of Sinophobia is a disgusting way to get your "point" across. Let it be known.
