i'm too lazy to write a post so
here's how I would edit a book cover onto a photo of a different book/e-reader. no downloading anything. 15 minutes tops.

the program you'll be using is Pixlr E (used to be Pixlr Editor).
it's completely web-based, so you're only going to need an internet connection and a laptop/computer. https://pixlr.com/e/

you're gonna want
- the new book cover saved on your computer
- the photo you want to add something to. if you're pasting on a pre-existing book, choose one that's preferably similar colors as the new cover

in free distort mode (notice the new symbol in the top bar), drag the circle corners to cover the book.
covering more than necessary is better than covering too little. also. do not free distort, confirm, and then try it again.

you can see in the photo i'm editing, the spine-side of CINDERELLA IS DEAD is kind of fuzzy?
this is a section i'm gonna wanna (1) polygon select the excessive portions, and then use the soft eraser to smooth it out and blend it with the OG book.

the right side of the book, however, is sharp, so i'm gonna polygon select the whole section of excess off.
on the polygon select tool, outline the section you want deleted, double click to make the dots run along the selection, and then press delete.
