We also didn’t get to see our club promoted in person & the club itself has lost something like £40-50m in revenue as a result. It’s been emotionally taxing for players, staff & fans alike. In no way has COVID been beneficial to us, it’s actually been low-key devastating. #lufc
I get that football is considered a ridiculous pursuit by many but I think that significantly downplays how much the invaluable routine & sense of community is key to the wellbeing of so many people. So much of modern existence is awful & football can be a huge comfort. #lufc
I’m not trying to justify any abuse, just trying to provide context for any outside observers. At the end of the day, Amazon is one of the biggest corporations in the world & if they use our club & collective misfortune to market themselves, they should probably own it. #lufc
