THE WILDS S1 SPOILERS AND S2 THEORIES a thread:
-Dot: She has actually met Gretchen, they talked before the trip but Dot didn't believe Gretchen when she told her she didn't want anything in return. The last thing we hear Dot asking Gretchen is "What do you want from me?"
But this is where their conversation ends. Which leaves some questions open for S2. What did Gretchen tell Dot? What does Dot know? Does she even know anything about the experiment?
-Also we see Dot ordering some sushi. As the episode continues tho, we never rly see her eating the sushi. Does this have anything to do with Shelbys allergic reaction in the last episode?
-Shelby & Leah: It's pretty certain that the both have become closer and think there is more to their situation. After all Shelby gave Leah a letter saying "You were RIGHT". And Leah knew she was gonna be able to escape this very night from her cell after the lights went off.
Shelby's reaction began shortly after the lights went off so the two of them must've spoken. And Dot must've been involved too. She was the one to order sushi, which Shelby is beyond allergic to, what probably caused 'code purple'. How they excactly did that is still in the open.
Although I saw a theory that im Shelby's interview she once took out her dentures and put them on the table where Dot had her sushi plate before. Is thar how Shelby got the allergic reaction later?
-A phase 2: It's possible the interviews and inprisoning is part of the experiment. Gretchen once mentioned something about a phase 2. This could refer to either Thwilight of Adam or the second phase of Dawn of Eve. Also maybe a reason why Gretchen had to beg for more money?
-Rachel: In her episode we see Rachel put on dark blue New Balance sneakers that look quite roughed up. But those were actually not Rachel's shoes, as we see her wearing white ones the whole time. Those sneakers belonged to Nora. Which implies that she is either missing or dead.
Rachel also says "She was throwing herself infront of the world for me". Does that mean Nora jumped into the water to save Rachel from the shark and got killed? And when asked about how their story ends Rachel simply says" I don't know. I guess that's in your hands now".
-Nora: So what does that mean? Did Nora actually die? And if so, did she while trying to save Rachel? Or did Leah tell everyone about Nora being in on it? Did something violent happen between the girls? Although I don't think they would act violent.
I think if they knew they would keep Nora alive to gather information from her. But this must mean that Rachel would know about her twin being part pf this. But would Rachel talk so highly of her sister after what she has done to them? Or r they all playing with the interviewers?
I just don't know. Doesn't sound Rachel-like. Nora must've done something pretty heroic for Rachel to speak so highly of her. So either Nora dies saving Rachel OR Nora helps the girls in some selfless way.
