After the recent chapter of Choso soul searching for his origin & also wondering what Yuji is, I wanted to look at how Yuji & the Kamo clan’s storylines intersect and how they will become very important for the future of the series
I love the storyline Gege created for Yuji vs Clan Kamo. Noritoshi Kamo and Choso (Kamo)’s first meeting with Yuji is literally the same. They both want to Kill Yuji for family reasons. Noritoshi wants to kill Yuji for his clan & Choso wants to kill Yuji for his brothers.
The funny thing about how both altercations get resolved is almost exactly the same, just like how both their altercations with Yuji started exactly the same.
In Noritoshi’s case, Yuji moved his heart by saying similar words that his Mother said to him before about helping others. Basically gaining Noritoshi’s respect by reminding him of family he loves & misses.
Not only is this beautiful, but its similar to how Choso vs Yuji’s conflict went. Yuji’s memory manipulation basically made Choso think of Yuji as family, basically reminding him of his brothers & just like Noritoshi is reminded of his family when thinking of Yuji.
In both their cases, it’s poetic that Yuji manipulates/connects with their family ties. Since clan kamo manipulates blood, & the theme throughout both nori & choso’s story is family, its dope how Yuji essentially plays to their family ties (unintentionally) to get both as allies
Clan Kamo & Yuji clearly will be connected more & more in the future. With Choso as Yuji’s half curse-half human brother, many different secrets could be unlocked with them working together. After the recent Yuji rebirth theory, I honestly can’t wait to see how this all connects.
Choso & Yuji could also retrieve Choso’s other brothers as well. Choso would definitely be willing to work with Yuji in locating them since he also believes Yuji is his brother. The secrets these other half curse-half humans could reveal is anybody’s guess
