. @KGforNYC comes out in favor of firm numeric targets for housing production for each community board at her @OpenNYForAll housing policy interview.
She's also discussing the (absurd) summer break for ULURP proposals and proposing simplifying the info required for an EIS/EAS to speed up the ULURP process. Sounds very promising!
On property tax reform: her ideal system would base property taxes on market value, and then provide credits to avoid shocks for long-time residents. (I say--why not just allow them to defer payments until death or sale, with a low interest rate?)
(But this is a really necessary conversation, and good for her for talking honestly about the issue).
"I would definitely use as much of the RAD program as we can", sez @KGforNYC re: NYCHA. Believes this could lead to the renovation of 62k units per year.
(Apologies if I'm bobbling details on this, live-tweeting is challenging--definitely recommend listening to the full interview!)
Also very supportive of infill development in NYCHA, and moving current residents to new buildings in the same NYCHA complex to build trust.
Would @KGforNYC support ending single-family zoning citywide? "Yes"
Would she support ending parking minimums citywide? "No--there are some areas where there isn't a transit option" :(

Closes on a hopeful note, throwing some very welcome to the @OpenNYForAll audience: "We can build things!" Hits support for open streets, streateries, and other recent changes. A very solid interview overall, I'm impressed!
It's also got the @TweetBenMax seal of approval. https://twitter.com/TweetBenMax/status/1344055339805765632?s=20
