Kansas has a few possible options for redistricting, in this thread I'll go over those possibilities #ksleg
For a brief overview, the possibilities are:
1 - Strong R gerrymander
2 - Slight R Gerrymander/Status quo
3 - A few variants of a fair map
4 - One packed D district

The first possibility here, a strong GOP gerrymander. This is what the map will likely look like if the Kansas supreme court decides to not interfere in any way. This has a pretty high chance of going dummymander though, so I'm unsure if the GOP will actually go for this. #ksleg
The next major possibility is a map designed to reflect the current one, which would, in effect, be a slight GOP gerrymander. The Kansas supreme court would probably be ok with this map, but it is now majority liberal so they might want something different. #ksleg
Here's two possible fair maps. The first one is my favorite, but I've seen arguments that the second one here could also work. I don't really like how part of the 1st "juts out" in the second one, but the compact 4th is nice. #ksleg
And the last possibility is a packed Dem district, which could look like two different maps. This is probably the wise choice for the GOP, as the Kansas supreme court might be ok with it, and it prevents the rest of their districts from going dummymander. #ksleg
I hope you found this interesting! This is me basically getting back into election twitter and Kansas politics twitter, so a retweet and like would be appreciated! #ksleg
