In case you missed it, friends not into wrestling, let me sketch out a rough two days’ worth of events for you:
A “journalist” for the @PWTorch website writes a piece about a man who is completely idolized in the sport. It contains passages like this:
Man catches hell rightfully for this, claims he did nothing wrong, picks fights all day.
Next day, piece is gone and man’s coworkers at @PWTorch claim it was an opinion piece - which man never stated - and that if you’ve never attended a journalism school or course you’re not allowed to have an opinion.
It turns out said coworker was mad at people messaging him for bad reporting on a site he works for and then chose to defend.
Word comes out from the editor of @PWTorch that THE PIECE WAS NEVER READ. Because the “writer” is sixty years old and has spent half his life writing so we can let that slide, right?
This morning, “writer” spends the day tweeting nonsensical shit about a show last night, and plants a very obviously self-written puff piece on what appears to be an Angelfire website run by .... someone, we don’t know.
He’s trying really hard to get the “I was cancelled and for 50 dollars a month you can hear how bad and mean wrestling fans are to me” gig.
Also neither he nor the founder of @PWTorch who let that shit slide have said sorry to the family of the passed man personally.
