This is going to sound like piling on Chan Gailey. I'm not, but I have to call BS when I hear it. During his zoom call he tried to explain the differences in play calls for Fitz and Tua are just situational. There's some truth to that. But I give it three Pinocchio's. Misleading.
Again go look at the Jets game Fitzpatrick started in place of Tua, after Tua had been benched at the end of the Broncos game. Of the first 53 plays they ran, all the way into the 4th quarter, 41 of them were pass plays, nearly half of those either empty backfield or hurry-up.
You cannot tell me Gailey ever would've called a game like that for Tua Tagovailoa. It just is what it is. Gailey is normally pretty candid and maybe he meant well, but it's pretty clear his answer was misleading.
