Hi. This is my reminder that you should go to therapy. Even if you think you are perfectly fine. Therapy, at the minimum, will help you deal with those who are dealing with trauma better.

Also, odds are you have some traumas too. Go to therapy.

If you don't have insurance that pays for therapy or you cannot afford it, check out @OP_Therapy and @LLTherapyFnd. There are grants AND also, therapists often do sliding scales. There's also apps like @talkspace.

Go to therapy. For you, for us, for the entire human race.
And if you're nervous about "telling someone my business," know that therapists are LEGALLY BOUND to not tell your business.

Therapy is hard. If you're someone who's used to being a vault, it can be extra challenging. Do it anyway, friend.
I started therapy 3.5 years ago. I'll tell you one thing: I got more issues than I thought I had. Humans are really good at repression and burying pain. But scars are there, whether you are covering them with a shirt or not. You not looking doesn't erase them or their impact.
Lessons I've learned in therapy make their way into my upcoming book #ProfessionalTroublemaker b/c I realized why I am so risk averse and afraid of change or mistakes. I realize why my hyperindependence is trauma-based. I've learned so much about me, and I thought already knew me
Going to therapy has made me a better person, wife, writer, dreamer... It's made me a better me for real. And I'm still growing.

So yeah, if you've been looking for the sign, I hope this is it. Start going to therapy. It's hard but worth it.
