Idea on the barrier a newer FG player faces in becoming "good." My experiences:

1) Thought I was hot shit, went 0-2 at my first 3 tourneys I went to (2 of them majors).
2) Considered quitting MANY times during that.
3) Support from friends/community brought me back EVERY TIME.
4) After the last 0-2 tourney (Climax of Night 1), I realized I wasn't serious about being good.
5) STUDY/LAB REAL COMBOS
6) Lose offline and online a lot.
7) Get sad, friends and key members in uni community I reached out to offered to make me better and showed resources on how.
8) LAB SPACING
9) I finally won my 1st local. I'll never forget that feeling, because I sent the dude I beat to loser's, they reset the bracket and I BARELY won off of 214c grab last match/round/orange.
10) I realized I was finally... Getting better? I'm still improving even now.
And that kinda led up to RBC SW (9th😒) and my motivation in trying to build the scene when I moved to Houston (much love to the Bull and Bear Tavern, as well as the coffee-shop meets that uni slowly managed to creep into). I've seen a lotta new players disenfranchised, and I say
If I can ever help you improve in an FG somehow, please ask. FG's helped me learn things about myself I don't think I'd have ever realized otherwise, and the people along the way taught me how to look at different perspectives more because I wasn't alone as often. I will probably
Always play FG's (because I believe I will definitely always play games), and I will always be reaching out to the community in watching streams, playing strong/new players, teaching what I know, etc. I don't deal well with shitty people, but I remember how much I hated flailing
When I had started playing and had to acknowledge how bad I was. I also learned EVERYONE TENDS TO FEEL THAT WAY AT SOME POINT OR ANOTHER IN TRYING TO IMPROVE.

So, seriously, please keep playing and please reach out (whether to me or not) when you feel stagnant and unsure. I want
To see this community keep growing and meet more people like I have on this journey over the last few years (to the point where I've highly considered making my career/business revolve around the FGC). It has its messes, but I wouldn't trade the friends/xp I've made for anything.
LOL Sorry for the trip down memory lane. Those that read this and know why I describe this path (online or offline), very much love. I hope you come out of 2020 stronger and better in all the things needed to build life in these times.

That's all, you can go about the day now👌
