I’ve been listening to podcasts on everything from food to homelessness and u guys we really messed up when the 1980s came.

That’s when processed food, financial deregulation, & everyone’s favourite: the personal responsibility narrative got a foothold and the outcome isn’t good
listened to @yourewrongabout episode on The Obesity Epidemic a and there are so many layers to diet & workout culture + fat shaming I never knew. As soon as it pointed out we screwed up food then blamed obesity as personal responsibility issue I was like “oh no I know this story”
Why are we so obsessed with personal responsibility? Why is it always a moral issue? Why are we so hellbent on creating systems that sabotage individuals in literally every aspect of life and then blaming those same individuals for failing to succeed?
Anyway just wanted to let you all know we as society are pretty bad and doing everything wrong, and we keep making the same mistakes across every facet of existence and I am sure things will keep getting worse because we are not really doing anything about it.
