to make sexual education seem like something that’s very shameful, this is the only exposure people get which is not only haram but very psychologically and physiologically damaging. Islamically, the topic of sex is not something that’s considered taboo, it’s natural and it’s not

something that should be silenced otherwise it leads to consequences like this. Sexual education isn’t just about sex, it teaches about the mannerisms and the different aspects of reproduction and the reproductive organs which is so important, especially for women. Many problems

that women face reproductively aren’t talked about in our communities because it’s seen as shameful when in reality it’s something that needs to be discussed and normalized. Misinformation has led to so many preventable problems that could’ve been avoided with sexual education

Things such as infertility, mensuration, uterine issues, have been considered taboo for so long that not only are women misinformed about it but they’re shamed for it. People think there’s something wrong with them when they go through puberty because no one actually sits down

and properly teaches about these topics. Many public schools have made the effort to have abstinence only sex ed which is fine but the religious private schools and home environments completely ignore this topic or make it seem like such a bad or shameful thing to discourage

students from asking questions or learning more about it. This leads to them going to other sources such as pornography or harmful sources which can completely damage their view on these topics and can lead them to actually delving into these things

Instead of keeping them away from fitna and zina, we are leading them closer to it. Teaching our kids these things and being open about it is what is going to keep them away from these sins, and it will provide them with the Islamically and physiologically correct info

And not only that but also learn about it yourself! So many people are unaware of how their body works and what sex is supposed to be like because of the way they were exposed to it. Not only that but they’re not islamically educated on it. Learn about it for yourself and spouse
