I couldn't find anything as far back as 2012, but apparently 2011 was a particularly bad year, judging by this article from 2018:
I'm not saying NHS staff aren't struggling rn. But the fact is, the NHS is barely fit for purpose, and it shows EVERY winter. The NHS is the problem. End.
