SO we’ve been thinking about it and @allloulilthings and I want to share the hot cup of speculation that we brewed together last night late at night when we were both tired and incoherent. OKAYYY HERE GOES NOTHING!!! So, this is going to center around the end of one direction and events leading up to and following made in the am. This might get tedious but lets go. We’ll start with Louis, I already mentioned in my previous thread that we’ve speculated before
about the possibility of him creating his own major record label. He had a small one under syco and he has talked about managing before! He also does not currently have a record label and made a point to tell us that he did the entire livestream without the help of a major one.
This leads us to assume that he is currently without a record label since leaving syco in July. Now, since Louis is already out of a label, we are approaching two things:
a. the rumored end of a contract between one direction and Syco/Sony after ten years and-
a. the rumored end of a contract between one direction and Syco/Sony after ten years and-
b. The potential end of a five year three album contract between Harry and Columbia. ALSO, Liam is going to be writing (?) soon, which he hasn’t done since one direction as much to the same extent. We don’t know anything about Niall really and Zayn dropped Better then and dipped.
Some people have speculated that Harry is getting out of his contract with Columbia and optional third album (see my previous thread) and setting up a record label with Louis. Our thoughts are, that it might not just be H&L, what if it’s any combination of OT4/OT5...
AND THAT THIS WAS THEIR PLAN ALL ALONG.
LET ME ELABORATE. Considering the fact that nothing from the boys themselves happened for the tenth anniversary despite heavy speculation, and despite Liam hinting that something was coming and that Louis threatened to egg his house over it...nothing has happened at all.
We’ve had sketchy things happen all year, and we all expected SOMETHING from the four/five of them maybe like a little tidbit but we never did. Not to mention other random and weird things like Ashe saying that huge shifts would happen in the music industry (?) so we took that...
And completely ran with it. I mean...something that would revolutionize the entire music industry??! Our thoughts are that potentially some or all members of 1D have been planning since 2015 to establish their own record label once they exited their contract with Syco.
SO HEAR US OUT. Zayn left early on in 2015 in the middle of a tour with one album to go. They weren’t planning on resigning with Syco no matter what. I DO THINK THE 18 MONTH HIATUS WAS PLANNED, but instead of it being like a break from the band I think it could have been
A gap during which they could have set up their own record label together, set up the pr/marketing/managing and then rebranded after the 18 months were up. However, I think that it may be a possibility that something like that could have gone against their contract at the time.
SO, all the negative publicity around Louis in particular that year, everything that was sus back then...could have been sabotage by mgmt because they knew they weren’t planning on signing with Syco again, we’ve thought that before. HOWEVER, we still have unexplainable things-
LIKE BELFAST. We have thought that it was either related to stunting, or H&L coming out in the past. Rbbsbb had a countdown to Belfast day, the concert was canceled AT THE LAST MINUTE, and Louis leaked home. However, it would make sense if it were something bigger that impacted
All of them triggered those events that day. Potentially, their management could have found out plans to create their own major record label together instead of resigning with them or with another label. With everything that happened to them in the five years, it would make
sense for them not to sign to another contract with another record label even after the level of control they experienced. Louis is extremely smart and negotiated for them regularly, that we know. But it would make sense for them to do that and go off on their own instead of-
being trapped in another contract. However, that would have been extremely damaging to like...the entirety of Syco/Sony/the rest of the music industry at the time. Like, it could bring down the sham that is the music industry if they had the intention to do it together.
SO, we thought that the result of Belfast day was that they were forced to sign something that extended their agreement with their current management instead of being sued for breach of contract, and the timeline of making this all work was just extended by...five years.
Which brings us to now. I saw either a tweet or TikTok by @umbroshirt back in like october where she said that the rbbsbb countdown would have been five years instead of five days. Everything has been fucking sus since October. With Liam. With the weird mentions of possible
stunts in livestreams. With mentioning how much communication they have (or not) with each other. How Harry has been acting and how MIA he’s been otherwise. Obviously we don’t know specifics about their contracts in ANY WAY, but it would make sense that everything is coming
around again...now. Five years later. So basically, I think the solo stuff they’ve been doing, (particularly Niall and Harry, which started in late 2016 and suggests to me that they clearly knew it wouldn’t be the originally planned 18 month hiatus)...
has just been them biding their time until they could pull this off, together. Like ??? It makes sense why they’re still on “hiatus” and why they’ve never broken up? Cause it’s been five years, come on.
SOOOOO once again this is SPECULATION!!! It is not fact, I’m not saying this happened or will happen, we just looked at the different events that led up to hiatus and then everything going on recently and said HMMMM MAYBE 2+2 DOES =4!!!
And now me and @allloulilthings will be patiently waiting for someone to do something! Hopefully Louis. Or any of them, but to be honest I think we can guess that Louis is the mastermind of this entire operation. It makes sense and he’s just sitting on it now.
I absolutely cannot wait to sit back and watch what happens next haha. Anyways end of thread I think!!!
