Practice More Effectively

First we must understand the concept of the brain.

We have grey matter and white matter, grey matter processes information which then directs signals and sensory stimuli to the nerves.

The white matter made from fatty tissue and also nerve fibers
MOVEMENT OF ENERGY

For our body to move, the brain sends signals from the grey matter down the spinal cord and through a chain of nerve fibers called axons to our muscles.
THE INSIDE OF OUR BODY

The axons in our brain are wrapped with a fatty substance called Myelin

Myelin is a layer or sheath that forms around axons, including those in the brain and spinal cord. The myelin sheath prevents energy loss from electrical signals the brain uses
AFFECT OF REPETITION

Some recent studies in mice suggest that the repetition of a physical motion increases the layers of myelin sheath that insulates the axons.

The more the layers of myelin the better the insulation around the axon chains.

This rule also applies to humans
FASTER RESPONSE

This sheath allows electrical impulses to transmit faster and efficiently along with the nerve cells. This is what gives athletes and performers that edge to be good.
MASTERY THEORIES

Many theories attempt to quantify the number of years or maybe days of practice that it takes to master a skill.

We don't have specific numbers we know that is not about the number of hours of practice but the quality and effectiveness of practice.
EFFECTIVE PRACTICE

Effective practice is consistent intensely focused and targets content or weakness that lie at the edge of one's current abilities.
FOCUS

✅Focus on the task at hand
✅Rid distractions

In one study researchers observed 260 students studying on average those students were able to stay on task for only six minutes at a time.
DO IT SLOW

To start you should start slow or in slow-motion coordination is built with reps whether correct or incorrect.

Gradually increasing the speed of the quality reps you have better chances doing them correctly, so take your time.
EFFECTIVE REPS

Frequent reps with allotted breaks are known to practice habits of athletes and performers

Studies showed that athletes musicians, and dancers spend 50 to 60 hours a week on activities related to their craft.

They also divide time for effective practice.
POWER OF VIVID DETAILS

Several studies suggest that once a physical motion has been established you can reinforce it by imagining it.

All you have to do is practice in your mind.
