I only started really using twitter in October of this year.
I went from 59 followers to 356 followers in 3 months, obviously not outstanding growth but I'm still super proud of myself.
Here are a few things I've learned while learning how to twitter

Here are a few things I've learned while learning how to twitter

1. Make friends
I can't emphasize enough how important it is to network with people on Twitter.
Friends help friends out, they will support what you do and engage with you
Engage with people and follow up with a DM for a 1 on 1 chat. I call this a lukewarm connection (vs cold)

2. Always shoutout content creators
Whenever you consume a high quality piece of content, talk about what you learned
- You learn stuff (the act of writing down learnings helps a lot!)
- Your audience learns stuff
- There's a high chance of getting a R/T by the content creator

3. Always uplift people
Do everything in your power to help people out.
Retweet project launches, give feedback, use your skillset to assist (be careful, don't over allocate yourself!).
Its cliche, but you really do get back what you put into the world, friends help friends

4. Make high quality content
Most of my highest performing tweets come from content threads/videos I have produced
Make sure to put a lot of effort into this stuff (make a preview video, add images)
Use something like @hypefury to retweet your high quality stuff automatically

5. Be niche and know your audience
As @arvidkahl would say, "Audience First". When posting on Twitter I made sure that all my tweets were geared towards the No-code SaaS founder.
It's so much easier to come up with content when your target is a homogenous group of people.

6. Schedule and draft tweets
When I schedule tweets, they end up doing better partly because I have time to come back the next day and edit them to be better.
Also, start with a draft as you may not finish the tweet but the idea will still be there for you to come back to later

7. Be Prolific
This isn't really about growing followers, its about nailing down your "voice" or personal niche. (which indirectly helps grow audience)
The way to make great content is to first make 1,000 shitty pieces of content. This will help develop your skills as a creator
