We need to have discussions about minors interacting with nsfw content that doesn't boil down to pearl-clutching or demanding unpaid baby-sitter labor. These discussions are ALWAYS peddled by adults who come on here and lie about not looking at nsfw content when they were teens.
The discussion is a hard one to have. An uncomfortable one to have but sitting & creating black & white solutions to grey discussions is the answer benefits no one.

I'm not going to come on here & lie about what I did as a teen. I'm not gonna say I, furthermore many other teens, didn't look at nsfw content we shouldn't have been looking at in the first place, because teenagers are hormonal & teens can & will do whatever they want.
It's an uncomfortable discussion to have but it's one we are going to need to have that doesn't turn to dipshits falsely accusing people of being pedophiles & adults who lie about what they did as teens to avoid being called one.

I also think people need to release themselves from this bondage of thinking teenagers are incapable of not holding themselves accountable for things. I looked at content I shouldn't have. I went past the 18+ warnings, NSFW tags, etc & I understood that was on me not the adults.
Like all of that were conscious decisions I made. I knew it was wrong. I knew I wasn't old enough to be looking at the content and I did it anyways, because you know why?

Minors will always end up looking at content they shouldn't.

Safety tips off the top of my head:
⢠Minors DO NOT have NSFW interactions (DMs/msgs, rps, etc) with adults/18+ content makers.
⢠Discuss NSFW content with priv friend groups similar to your age & who you are COMFORTABLE with.
⢠Make private, non-public/interactive accounts

The methods above are what I followed when I was younger & in my instance they kept me fairly safe but even then these methods I mentioned above aren't 100% full-proof & won't work for every single teen or scenario but the point is, is that it's at least SOMETHING. A start point.
Oh & you know another thing? People are right, you shouldn't of had to see graphically violent untagged nsfw content as a child because that content should of been TAGGED & TRIGGER/CONTENT-WARNED (if not outright banned if the content was actually illegal/illegally made).

Oh, also before any of you get any funny ideas of thinking this post is meant to mean that you, as an 18+ acc aren't obligated to remove known minors who have indicators of age in their bios from your NSFW spaces & not follow minors on here then yeah, you can fuck off with that.
The core point at the end of the day is that both groups have their own work cut out for them & we need to stop pretending like they don't. We need to have discussions about these more or less uncomfortable topics without applying black & white solutions to the grey situations.
Anyways, now is about the time where some twitter famous weirdo finds this thread, willingly makes the choice to be as obtuse as humanly possible, skip over several of my core points & the grander picture, to get on a moral high putting the discussion right back at square one.
