To celebrate, I want to share with you 9 Principles of Musashi.

For those who have been following me for a while, you know who he is and how he influenced my life.

For the rest of you, welcome and enjoy the experience.

Here we go...

I — "Do not think dishonestly."

Honesty is Key.

Musashi focuses here on thinking.

I also believe there must be Honesty in our Actions.

Only with total honesty we can achieve our purest harmony and act according to who we really are.

II — "The Way is in training."

Words always arrive late to the home of Truth.

They are just the tool we created to talk about Truth.

But Truth cannot be found by words.

It must be absorbed by Action.

Once is yours, you do not need Words to read the Truth.

III — "Become acquainted with every art."

You need to observe and learn from everything.

The World is a universal Master.

Perspective is Key.

Focus is Key.

You need both Eyes to see the whole picture.

IV — "Know the Ways of all professions."

You cannot master everything;

you need to understand every master.

This is hard to accomplish and must be understood.

V — "Distinguish between gain and loss in worldly matters."

Your ability to distinguish must be natural.

If you try to distinguish by critical thought, you will fail.

You must overcome intellect and know every single thing,

without knowing how you know it.

Intuition.

VI — "Develop intuitive judgment and understanding of everything."

This one follows the last one.

In order to understand, you cannot think.

True Understanding comes from somewhere deeper than simple knowledge.

You cannot find the Truth outside.

This requires practice.

VII — "Perceive those things which cannot be seen."

Hear with your eyes, see with your ears.

Some things will not be able to distinguish by senses,

you must distinguish them before they even appear.

This is one of the hardest keys of the Way.

Once you know; no need to see.

VIII — "Pay attention even to trifles."

Every single detail is a source of Truth.

If you do not pay attention correctly,

you will miss the little pieces of it.

Truth is always there, speaking.

It is waiting for you to listen.

It is happening now.

Pay attention to this.

IX — "Do nothing which is of no use."

This relates to the first one.

When you act with honesty, there is nothing of no use.

Many people fail at this because they try to accomplish things of no use just because society tells it is useful.

Find your own Truth.

Act accordingly.

This is it.

I decided to add some personal comments to each Principle.

Remember to take these Principles as your own and explore them as they were born inside of you.

Feel free to absorb whatever feels to you.
