Hopefully after seeing the issues Lampard is having people will start to appreciate the way Ole has gone about his rebuild
I have listed a few of my thoughts about the key things I think Ole did to make his rebuild more likely to be successful (thread)

• Go through short term pain for long term gain - Selling big, key players that didn’t fit his long term vision - despite no guarantee of immediate replacements.
This includes a starting striker LW, RB, CM - all in his first full season

• Create a culture at the club:
A big part of Ole’s rebuild is instilling a certain culture at the club - removing players who disrupted this culture, and only buying players that fit into this culture.

Another element of building this culture is by example - showing and demanding a respect for the fans and club history - speaking of the club, staff, players in a way that protects the dressing room and establishes the role of a United player.

• Buy the right profile of player:
Ties in with previous point -
Again - short term pain for long term gain.
Ole has dispensed with the motto of some previous managers that wanted only to buy players that would win short term but need to be rebuilt after a few seasons

Instead, Ole has targeted young players that have the right motivations to be long-term United players.
He has not signed players who want release clauses and huge wages - only those who want to play for Utd., as well as scouting their background/attitude before signing players.

• Establish a style of play:
Seemingly complicated for a lot of people on Twitter to understand (as they only go off the released formation), but Ole wants our players to play a certain way - regardless of what formation or personnel are chosen on the day.

Playing out from the back, creating width using fullbacks, pressing to win the ball back, defending as a team - these are all vague mentions of some of the things that go into this style of play that we do fairly consistently.
• Learned from his mistakes:
Ole does not often continue making the same mistakes for long - whether it be poor squad rotations, substitutions, player selections, formations: when his decisions have a consequence that is repeatable - he tends to learn from this.

I think this is key in any good manager and is a big part of Solskjaer’s character I think will allow us to succeed under him as a manager.
Anyways - end of thread.
Nothing too serious just a few of my thoughts since so much was going around about Lampard’s struggles.
I hate sacking culture but I must admit I’ve never been as convinced by Lampard’s “rebuild” as Ole’s.
