Things I’ve done this December to save money/cut costs on back to school for January:
- Sort through a shit load of stationery. It was worth it. Saved about R1500.
- Sort through 3 massive boxes of uniforms and sell on FB Marketplace. Made about R2500. Will cover new uniforms.

Still to do:
- Sort through stacks of old textbooks and sell on FB Marketplace. (Have already ordered for next year.)
- Top up on exercise books etc (which I will do as I do grocery shopping.)
- Wash lunch bags/pencil bags. I found LOADS. I’m not buying any more of these.

And then there’s the school consumables - boxes of tissues, paper towel, hand sanitiser - that I will with my next Clicks online shop.
But, I think I’m 70% ready for next year. Just gotta do uniforms next week. And then label everything.
