Front page of @TorontoStar – they have the one disabled person with internalized ableism issues to interview on the benefits of MAiD.
This one man, Ron Ponso, is someone politicians use as a reason to ammend MAiD to all physically disabled people, and not just those near death.

The disabled community has been outspoken on how MAiD's ammendment is dangerous to our community & how we DO NOT want it – at least until we're given a viable option to survive before an option to die. This is not a partisan issue in the disabled community.
The #WhyUs campaign is one of the ways the disabled community speaking against the changes to MAiD.
Why does the gov see suicidal physically disabled folks as disposable, but abled suicidal folks deserve treatment? Esp considering the gov is often the influence of these feelings

Here is a brilliant article from someone from the disabled community, on why the changes to MAiD are a breach of our rights to live as they stand in the ammendment. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.macleans.ca/opinion/dying-for-the-right-to-live/amp/
1 man with internalized ableism that agrees with the abled notion that disabled people are not worth living – is who abled politicians, journalists, etc. are using to justify the deaths of the disabled community.
The rest of the disabled community is non-partisan on this issue.

We do need better MAiD. The problem, which abled folks & Ron Ponso are missing, is that disabled folks need a viable* option to survive BEFORE* being offered death.
As it stands now: options for disabled folks will be forced deep poverty, or death.
What kind of choice is that?

It really upsets me that the @TorontoStar would publish @JacquesGallant's extremely biased & ableist article on the front page without running it by ANYONE in the disabled community 1st.
Yes, the disabled man interviewed was ableist.
Our lives are a burden to ableds. We get it.

Will any abled people whatsever speak up for the disabled community – the way we plead to be spoken for?
Politicians?
Journalists?
Anyone?
This is utterly hopeless. A constant reminder disabled lives are not worth the same as abled ones.
