You are the 5 people you spend the most time with.

Although I don’t know each personally, here’s my virtual circle that has changed everything for me in 2020.

1. @APompliano
2. @ShaanVP
3. @theSamParr
4. @jackbutcher
5. @eriktorenberg

Thank you for everything you do👇🏼
Here are the 2 most important lessons I’ve learned from each:

1. ( @APompliano) There really is no replacement for good old fashioned hard work.

Be consistent and be willing to grind for 10 years if needed.

Also, remember to be a good person along the way.
2. ( @APompliano) You don’t need to be right on everything.

The biggest winners have relentless conviction on 1-2 bets and put their money where their mouth was.

For Pomp, Bitcoin was his biggest bet over the last few years. Building on Twitter was also a concentrated bet
3. ( @ShaanVP) Tackle projects using the ABZ framework.

Step A is where you are. Step Z is your end goal. Step B is the next incremental action to move from A.

Focusing on one thing at a time is much easier than a list of 25.
4. ( @ShaanVP) Start being more observant when you look at the world and ask yourself how things got there.

Every physical or digital good you see was made and sold by someone.

Constantly ask yourself why things are the way they are to find areas of opportunity.
5. ( @theSamParr) Never apologize for being yourself and have an insatiable curiosity to research something when it interests you.

Sam is one of the best I’ve ever seen at questioning things and finding information treasure chests about them in a short amount of time.
6. ( @theSamParr) Listen to all opinions but don’t be afraid to do what you think is right, regardless if it’s in the majority or minority.

On MFM, Sam strikes the perfect balance of genuine interest in other’s opinions but stays firm when he believes in his own conviction.
7. ( @jackbutcher) Figure out how to productize yourself.

Jack preaches building once and selling many times as an underlying foundation for his content.

This type of thinking shifts your mindset dramatically into looking for opportunities that can be easily scaled.
8. ( @jackbutcher) Everything compounds at an increasing rate.

Watching Jack’s journey with @visualizevalue has been incredible.

Like Pomp, Jack shows that with high quality output and consistency, good things will happen overtime.

Just keep going.
9. ( @eriktorenberg) Take asymmetric risks, especially in your career.

Erik preaches to look for opportunities that have limited downside but virtually uncapped upside.

This could be taking any role at a start-up in your early career or starting a venture yourself.
10. ( @eriktorenberg) Build a personal moat.

This means to create a set of unique and accumulating competitive advantages in your career.

Ask yourself, “What is something that is easy for me but hard for others?”

Begin to build your personal brand on that skillset.
Thanks again to all of you for everything you do.

I’m incredibly grateful for the time and effort you spend to share and build your communities.

Looking forward to watching you crush it in 2021 🚀
