I met Marvin on the street while canvassing yesterday in SE Georgia.

We talked about his experiences in his small town, the candidates, & the importance of making our voices heard at the ballot box.

But when I asked him when he planned to vote, he said he wasn't going to.
Someone at his county courthouse had recently told him that, b/c of a past criminal record, he wasn't eligible to vote.

Well, we double-checked the @GaSecofState website & it turns out that just wasn't true.

According to the site, he had become re-registered as of October!
So Marvin dropped everything and we headed down to the early voting location, where he successfully cast his ballot for @ReverendWarnock, @ossoff, and @BlackmanDNA!
Voter suppression/confusion is real. If you're a Georgian & think you can't vote, double-check your registration!

If you're in Georgia & someone tells you they're not registered, there's no harm in checking to make sure! The SOS website makes it easy.

It may not seem like much, but thousands of volunteers adding their drops of effort can create a tsunami of democracy!

And that's how we win, and more importantly how we empower voters like Marvin and create infrastructure for lasting change. So let's do this thing!
