Keep family ties, don't stop talking to one another for more than 3 days, visit the ill, give gifts, pray together, help those in debt, feed the poor, know the state of your neighbours within a radius of 40 people
Our imaan should uphold community. We're failing and causing this https://twitter.com/yellow_peeli/status/1343919270300938241

I'm frustrated at our state but I wish I knew how to be part of the solution instead
I also dislike the normalisation of "I don't want to talk to people and want to be left alone" on social media
I mean I get it, everyone needs time to breathe and process thoughts and feelings
But the acceptance of feeling's goes too far at times.

If you're constantly in your own head, thats not going to make things better. And others do need to at some point tell you to snap out of it. Change your routine, help you do something you may not want to do but which will help you.
This idea of allowing feelings to dictate actions will ruin you.
We (should) pray whether we want to or not. And in the same way, we need to go about other things which are for our good. And that includes being present with people
A reminder to myself first.

The validation of *all* feelings is a complete acceptance of the nafs, and therefore antithetical to the teachings of Islam
Tell your nafs to get over itself.
