A different take on New Years Resolutions

Switch it up in 2021

Instead of one big resolution, come up with 12 smaller resolutions

Each month, focus on one of these resolutions

THREAD 👇👇👇
For example:

JAN - No desserts or sweets
FEB - Workout 5 days a week
MAR - No going out to eat

Something different each month
Switch off between restrictions and actions

(“no doing this” versus “do this”)
Practicing one specific habit each month is easier than going all out and trying to do everything for the whole year

One full month focusing on a smaller goal will lead to a more sustainable habit beyond that month
You don’t have to carry each month’s goal over to the following month

However, you should be learning from each month’s goal and finding lesser ways to apply it to your life going forward
Using the same example from above, here are some ways you can apply these goals on a smaller scale once you’ve completed each month:

AFTER JAN - Limit desserts to 2 days per week
AFTER FEB - Workout 3-4 days per week
AFTER MAR- Only go out to eat on weekends
After going through a strict month focusing on one small goal, it’ll be much easier to implement a more relaxed goal into your life going forward

You’ll have already seen the benefits, and most likely want to continue practicing each habit as you continue through the year
As you add more and more good habits throughout the year, you’ll start to see major positive effects

The compounding effects of the good habits will prove to be life changing
