“Socialism“ is trending on Twitter and it’s pretty clear that most of the people criticizing what they think is “capitalism” are actually critics of the cronyism and big government/big business corruption that more resembles authoritarian fascism.
A capitalist can only succeed by providing goods or services to others in free exchanges that benefit both parties. The idea that capitalism is inherently exploitive is based on the assumption that market failure and monopolies are the inevitable outcome.
Antitrust has a role in curing market failure but it means that government gets a lot of power. And that power can be used for corrupt purposes.
