a truly sickening moment that. do often wonder about the motivation. yes i know you don't like him because he quote-tweeted you once after you slagged him off, but should a journalist being beaten up by far-right thugs actually require a bit more investigation?
when that sort of thing happens in russia, it's immediately reported as "putin's thugs". all i'm asking for is some cursory analysis of the links between the far-right and the governing party of the uk.
dehenna davison for example, whose links to far-right extremists have been largely forgotten about, in favour of her cool zoom backgrounds and tik-toks
daniel kawczynski for example, who spoke at a far-right conference
suella braverman for example, who subscribes to the antisemitic conspiracy theory 'cultural marxism' and is now attorney general
the 28 other mps for example, who signed a letter about cultural marxism
sally-ann hart, lee anderson, and richard short for example, who spread antisemitic conspiracy theories on social media and still appear to be tory mps
adam holloway for example, who said on tv that he 'doesn't care' if far-right groups intimidate asylum seekers, and is still tory mp for gravesham
but clearly these are all separate, unconnected incidents, not worthy of investigation by our brave commentariat
and anyway, it's not like the far-right have been infiltrating the army
or the police
