This is in response (from mostly brahmins) to my previous tweet that it is not just brahmins but many other people, especially those belonging dominant 'middle castes' that refuse to get rid of caste 👇
Yes, every one with caste privilege needs to become unquestioningly anti-caste. But brahmins and those who belong to the same caste privilege bracket need to recognise a few things. 1) there are many anti-caste activists belonging to dominant caste groups working tirelessly.
2) those at the top of socio-cultural hierarchy usually do not need to be involved in physical violence because they create the socio-religious-cultural frame work that lets them distance themselves from the violence that the ugly social organisation they created perpetuates.
3) It is therefore important to recognise and understand the nature of violence that we practice everyday. Change in those who control and justify the system means a change in social, cultural and aesthetic structures and the demolition of an ugly aspirational model
