Just a reminder that Sarri was not sacked by Roman. In fact it was likely he would have stayed. I didn't like him as our manager based off the fact that he had no connection to the fans & didn't get the club. He was hell bent on a philosophy which didn't work. HE WAS NEVER SACKED
He left off his own accord because he couldn't hack it. He didn't try & warm to the club or the fans. Many of the players didn't like his methods, multiple comments out there back this up. Some of our worst games in recent memory were played under Sarri with no response.
Its telling that as soon as he took the big money & CHOSE to leave the club to the biggest club in Italy they ended up getting rid of him for all of the issues cited at Chelsea. I thanked him for winning the Europa league but he never connected with the club.
Frank Lampard on the other hand is a young manager, he did achieve something in his first year which many of these hipster managers wouldn't. They didn't even want the job, I am sure there were conversations for other managers but they didn't want a transfer ban, youth players
Loss of our best player. They wanted big transfers etc. Frank didn't, he knew it was a big tough job for an unexperienced manager like him at the club he loved. He took it nonetheless. We struggled as we knew we would but the club brought Frank in to reattach fans to the club...
Which he did. He brought the youth players through which no other manager has done, unified the players enough to get us to a cup final (which we lost) & got us top 4 (could have been 3rd if not for GD) during a world pandemic. Then he was backed better than many previous

Thiago Silva - Listen to the way he talks about Frank Lampard. A man of his experience & class could have got what he wanted but he didn't he chose to come to Chelsea for a challenge & to play under FL. Mendy - Chosen by Cech who backs FL. None of this is a coincidence...
We are in a bad run right now. We've been in a bad run before but is anyone in a good run? Not really. Frank was brought in to change the merry-go-round to embody Roman's vision of having academy players cemented in the team, still competing with a manager who fans adore.
This can still happen. Chelsea are not finished. The season is not over. What if we go on another 17 match unbeaten run where we actually win games & not draw them? Confidence is low. But when it improves we are more than capable of doing it in this crazy season.
I for one am backing Frank Lampard. I will reassess at the end of the season if we haven't progressed the way in which we should have. Its about progress for me. It took Klopp 5 years to make Liverpool what they are now. Don't forget that, they also spent money.
