thinking about how uni students have been (and will likely continue to be) expected to produce the same quality and quantity of work despite the material circumstances and the state of many students’ mental health being absolutely no different to what it was back in march
at which point at least *some* measures were introduced to acknowledge ‘exceptional circumstances’. but despite ongoing fatiguing effects of perpetual lockdowns, uncertainty, and a general collapse of social life, universities’ priority continues to be money - it’s that simple
just continuing to feel utterly neglected and trapped - taking a year out would mean another year of student finance which i can’t afford and also leaves no funding for a masters. so it really is just suck it up and do shit zoom uni from home ..
