Pedri gonzalez - Thread

Pedri Gonzalez was born into a football-loving family who supported FC Barcelona long before Pedri was born. His grandfather was the founder of the Penya Barcelonista de Tenerife-Tegueste.
Pedri comes from a very modest family. His father and mother run a tavern in Tegueste, his birthplace. Pedri has been stuck since he was little, as he says:"I wasn't born and I already belonged to Barcelona"
According to Barcelona's website, Pedri's family was so obsessed with Barcelona that even the dinner plates bear the Barcelona badge. Pedri's parents were fully supportive of his footballing dreams.
Pedri grew up idolizing another Barcelona great midfielder, Andres Iniesta. No wonder his playing style has drawn comparison with Don Andres.
The forward’s childhood was fun-filled. He loved football and would often request that his parents get him jerseys of his favourite club, Barcelona.
Thanks to his brother, Pedri started playing soccer, always playing with people older than him.
In the Juveniles, he played with La Juventud Laguna to be with his friends despite an offer from Tenerife who had wanted him for some time.
At the age of 14-15, he had to separate from his family to live in Casa amarilla (the training center in Las Palmas). Where he was called up with the U16 canary team.
He played in a tournament which allowed big teams to spot him, notably Real Madrid, with whom Pedri tested but did not convince them. His father then said that those are the prayers of his grandfather that were answered.
So he stayed in Las Palmas, and in the summer of 2019 he got noticed by Pepe Mel and made him play the preseason with the first team (at the age of 16)
The leaders of Barça are quick to sign it, the operation was concluded on the last day of the transfer window for 5 M (+ compensation).
