1/ When I took over the Chair of the North London Waste Authority's Recycling Working Group in January 2020, my top priority was to develop a plan for processing 100% of the NLWA's recycling in the U.K and EU. 2/ 100% of the NLWA's aluminium and steel cans are processed within the U.K; 100% of our glass within the U.K and EU; and 96% of our paper is recycled in the U.K and EU. There is much more work to do on cardboard, but we're working with U.K industry to address that.

3/ By processing 100% of its black bag waste within the U.K, and the overwhelming majority of its recycling within the U.K and EU, the North London Waste Authority is not only pursuing the highest ethical standards, but also driving growth in domestic circular economy jobs.
