Time to get something I have been thinking about online political discourse for a while:
The amount of pointless, irrelevant, self-defeating, purity testing, clueless, nitpicky, dunderheads who do nothing but waste everyone's time with empty political commentary.(1/11)
They have ideologies that change like hats. Not normal hats either. One week you are wearing a top hat, and the next week its a pirate hat. One week it's Maoism with Titoist characteristics, and the next its anarcho-communism with a hint of syndicalism.(2/11)
I understand that you are still growing, but if you are still growing ideologically so rapidly, with sharp turns in what you believe, maybe wait a little bit before starting that Twitch channel. Most of your ideologies, that you a treating like fads, are irrelevant anyway. (3/11)
Another thing, get over yourself when it comes to what you expect a politician today to be. These puritans want politicians to be their friends, who agree with everything they think, and not agents of change. Voting is a tool that should drag us closer to that world(4/11)
we want. Those agents of change will often be EXREMLY flawed. But you should never give up an opportunity to achieve movement in the right direction, or prevent movement in the wrong direction. Of course voting does not give you warm fuzzies. Lives are at stake. It sucks.(5/11)
Also, stop your fake outrage when activists work with people you don't like in pursuance of goals, like certain senate elections, that benefit working people. If it helps achieve meaningful progress, then I will work with problematic streamers all the way up to Joe Manchin.(6/11)
We are in a recession, and a pandemic, all during a climate crisis. We don't have time to wait for your perfect candidate, party, or activists. We have the people around us RIGHT NOW and we should put them to good use. I am not interested in joining your party of one. (7/11)
None of this means that you cannot do direct action. You can do both you dunderheads. Doing both direct action, and voting is necessary for you to fully capitalize on your political activism. You can volunteer at food banks, work with unions, AND vote. Amazing right? (8/11)
Yet those who talk of direct action, and getting active, or give you this commentary online, seem to be those who do these things the least. No volunteering for food banks, voting in national and local election, running for office, helping out at campaigns, etc. (9/11)
In fact, the ones that always spitball those who are doing this, are the ones doing it the least. Or they are the worst organizers on the planet who could not win an election where only their mom voted. Stop kneecapping those who are actually trying. (10/11)
Also, im sure you are reading this right now "oh Dylan is talking about me not them"
REALLY think about if I am not talking about you before you come to any conclusions.

Armchair activism out, and stay out
PS: When I say I will work with problematic streamers/politicians, I mean towards goals I agree with. Obviously not towards a puppy kicking policy or anything.
I might just start @ ing people who I think needs to see it
why not
could be fun
stop liking this tweet, I will just end up @ ing your fav streamer
I might also just say who was also insufferable to work with, or attempt to work with while I am at it
The most intellectually hollow person I ever spoke to was Angie Speaks, and she not only did not have anything of value to say on the Bernie or Bust topic (which she joined on the side of before renouncing it), she somehow had nothing to say, but also took up the most time.
Oh she was obviously also wrong on the Joe Biden not winning as well lol
I don't care what she thinks, she blocked me anyway, and was disrespectful with everyone's time
KiaraHusk was the most armchair activist on elections as physically possible, while also spitting on anyone who actually wanted to have an impact on conflicts like the war in Yemen. She is gone now tho from twitch and online commentary. So whatever.
Don't think they are all lefties either. @Dronetek was so insufferable in dms around his Russia Russia Russia purity testing, and would not say it to my face after I asked to talk to him when he just kept pushing it, that I really don't have a good reason to talk to him anymore.
Don't get me started on trying to have a working relationship with @ReDNeQ

Hilariously, out of the people listed, easiest to deal with mentally
I remember @Pinko_the_Bear wanted to cancel me because I had a American flag in my background
I think @carpepax was on board with it too

lol Purity testing to the max
I could keep going, I have more names I could throw out there. I can only deal with so much heat at a time though.

is what it is
excited for moral outrage fueled responses
