Why
refused to recognize
right now? - THREAD
I'll start this thread by stating that recognizing Israel is a decision to be taken by the entire citizenry of Pakistan & not just by Govt. There would have to be a referendum if such a huge decision was on cards. Let's start;

I'll start this thread by stating that recognizing Israel is a decision to be taken by the entire citizenry of Pakistan & not just by Govt. There would have to be a referendum if such a huge decision was on cards. Let's start;
1: Israel has broken all written agreements it has signed with Palestinians and its Arab neighbours, therefore it would be foolish to expect Israel to abide by an accord between
and
because it has no history of respecting international law or international agreements.

2: Israel doesn't want either the 2 state solution or the 1 State solution for the Palestinian question. If it had been the case, Israel would've recognised @Palestine_UN and withdrawn from the occupied territories after the Abraham accords between Israel and UAE. It didn't!
3: Not only Israel doesn't want to recognise Palestinians' right to a state, it also doesn't want Palestinians as citizens of a ONE state made of both Palestinians and Israelis. That's because in a democratic system, Palestinians will be a majority votebank in Israel.
4: To be an Israeli is now to be a Jew, thanks to Israel's racist nationhood law. This also throws one state solution out of the window and Israel will not allow a 2 state solution, so that leaves only one option: To expell all Palestinians from their native lands to Arab states.
5: Because recognizing Israel for Pakistan right now would amount to a surrender to the right wing Zionist Govt of Netanyahu. It would be rubber stamping the violence and murder of Muslim Arabs in Gaza, West Bank and Syria by Netanyahu led nationalists. It will encourage them.
6: Recognizing Israel right now will be done under pressure and compulsion from GCC Arab states and United States. It wouldn't be a natural choice by the people and polity of Pakistan, but a capitulation under political and economic pressure. It will be a complete humiliation.
7: Pakistan doesn't recognize Israel due its illegal occupation of Palestinian lands, much like it doesn't recognize Indian occupation of Kashmiri lands. To recognize one occupation will amount to recognizing the other. It will betray both Palestinian and Kashmiri trust in
.

8: Recognizing Israel right now would not only deprive Pakistan the support of Muslim nations over Kashmir, but it might also damage Pakistan's relations with Iran, another important neighbour of ours. It can lead to diplomatic and economic isolation, disturbing CPEC.
9: We will be seen as a weak state with no independent policy of its own. A country that buckled under the foreign pressure and gave Israel a legitimacy it has not earned yet. It will discredit Pakistan in an irreversible manner, in a time when we've been elected a UNHRC member.
10: Recognizing Israel will not help Pakistan militarily, contrary to what popular pro Israeli narratives claim. That's because Pakistan will simply not be able to match the buying power of the Indian Military, that is already deeply entrenched in Israeli defense markets.
Conclusion: Pakistan's stance on Israel is based on moral, political and economic realities. It should not change unless there's a moderate Govt in Israel that wants to be at peace with its neighbors and Palestinians under a two state solution or a democratic one state solution.
