As COVID soars, 'commentators' leading calls of "Where are the Nightingale hospitals?" Need a better grasp of reality.

There are over 1.9m people working in NHS. 6% born in EU. 6% from outside the EU.
Many of these workers were refused a say in the Brexit referendum. A vote which had massive personal consequences for them and their families. Bearing in mind, they are taxpayers!

The Tories have acted disgracefully for years and have deliberately run the NHS down to the bone. They've massively increased participation of the private sector and stoked fights with junior doctors, leading to the very first junior doctor strike in the UK in April 2016.
In 2016 the Tories changed from funding Nurse courses with a (up to ÂŁ16,454) bursary in England to student loans. Student nurses were required to get into debt in order to become nurses. They now only recently reintroduced bursaries but at ÂŁ5,000 - its too little, too late.
According to NAO report on Nursing there were 43,590 nursing vacancies in NHS England trusts between July - September 2019.
