Can we be real? All this bs about male leadership in relationships that makes gender into a hierarchy is nothing but male privilege. Is it really hard to understand? If I’m over you in authority, I benefit. Leads to oppression.
So then, the whole church somehow starts to think all males are over all females (the created order). It can and does lead to sexual abuse in the church, as women are trained to be subservient to men. This needs to change.
Jesus was clear about the equality of men and women, and He clearly taught His kingdom is an upside down Kingdom. The least is the greatest, and there’s no hierarchy based on just gender alone. So..men..let’s stop enabling this ongoing subjugation of women in His church.
It’s important that we do because these erroneous teachings are leading to victimization of women and young girls. As someone once said, “My brothers, these things ought not to be.”
